Blogging Buddies

Last weekend I got to have a real life play date with my blogging buds, Jacob and Jason. It was some big people party that was happening because Jacob is getting a little brother soon. I had a lot of fun hanging out with them even though they are totally way younger than I am. Our moms worked to get us all in one shot, smiling at the camera. I think we did pretty good considering our extremely short attention spans. Left to right, that's Me, Jason and Jacob.

Fly Like an Eagle

Where I live, it starts warming up a lot in the Spring. So much so that Spring starts to feel like Summer and with Summer comes swimming and, well, you know, when in Rome...

I am still attending my swimming lessons every Saturday, but May 19 kicked off the official outdoor swimming season and I started up FULL FORCE!**

**NOTE an adult was there to catch me. While I am progressing nicely in swimming class there are some obvious and necessary precautions I still have to take.

There's a First for Everything

A couple of Sundays ago, Daddy had to do some work so Mommy and I ventured out to the public library. It was my first trip to the library (which I prefer to call libary - it's just easier to say) and I had a pretty good time. We got there 30 minutes before the libary opened and I insisted on waiting outside the doors, standing the whole time, as a rather motley crowd gathered (those are mommy's words, not mine). There was even this guy who came out of nowhere and calmly walked up to the glass doors, 15 minutes before the libary was to open (as so indicated on the doors) and he raised his arms up to the sky and slowly and calmly said, "For the love of the law, open these doors." He vanished shortly after that and didn't return when the doors opened, as far as we could see.

Anyway, the doors finally opened and the first thing we did was get me my very own libary card. Mommy had to check out a book for her book club and then we went to this area that's just for kids. I looked around at some books and even found the Richard Scarry book that I have at home, pulled it off the shelf and looked at it, but ultimately decided against checking out any books.

I then got to play with some of the toy's in the children's area and had an overall good time. I think I do want to go back and get a book, so hopefully I will get a chance to do that.

A Virtual Thanks

This is my buddy, Will. He's this totally awesome dude and a relatively new friend of mine. He's also super brave - way moreso than I am. He's almost 8 months old and a couple of months ago he had open heart surgery. You'd never guess it when you see how happy and great he is.

Anyway, Will is having some of the same feeding issues that I am (but not for the same reasons, go figure). My mommy and his mommy are pow-wowing a lot and sharing in our similarities. Well, of course Will and his family heard about my Swallow Test and how good I did and they immediately sent me over a cool big kid cup and a package of straws. How cool is that?!?!?! So, I wanted to take a minute and introduce you to this VIP Kiddo in my life because as he continues to grow and get strong, he's gonna be a force to be reckoned with. That's right! And, thankfully, he's also gonna be one of my good friends.
