There's a First for Everything

A couple of Sundays ago, Daddy had to do some work so Mommy and I ventured out to the public library. It was my first trip to the library (which I prefer to call libary - it's just easier to say) and I had a pretty good time. We got there 30 minutes before the libary opened and I insisted on waiting outside the doors, standing the whole time, as a rather motley crowd gathered (those are mommy's words, not mine). There was even this guy who came out of nowhere and calmly walked up to the glass doors, 15 minutes before the libary was to open (as so indicated on the doors) and he raised his arms up to the sky and slowly and calmly said, "For the love of the law, open these doors." He vanished shortly after that and didn't return when the doors opened, as far as we could see.
Anyway, the doors finally opened and the first thing we did was get me my very own libary card. Mommy had to check out a book for her book club and then we went to this area that's just for kids. I looked around at some books and even found the Richard Scarry book that I have at home, pulled it off the shelf and looked at it, but ultimately decided against checking out any books.
I then got to play with some of the toy's in the children's area and had an overall good time. I think I do want to go back and get a book, so hopefully I will get a chance to do that.
