It's the Holiday Season

I keep hearing that the holidays are a wonderful time. A stressful time. A time to fear putting on some extra pounds. I haven't quite understood the concern about gaining weight until I attended my very first holiday party.

Today, my class (Room 3) held it's holiday party. Each parent was supposed to sign up to bring one item that would feed 12 kids. I can't do the math on that, but even I can tell you that means there's going to be a lot of food. I have to say that I took it pretty easy, but man! There was some good stuff there. Applesauce, cheese and crackers, cookies and Gogurt. What's that you say? You think I have made a typo? No way! Gogurt is yogurt for people on the go - people, quite frankly, like me! I loved the Gogurt. I couldn't get enough of it!

As I mentioned, we had a pretty nice spread. We all got to eat and then each of our teachers gave us a gift! Miss Elizabeth and Miss Valerie each gave us a book and Miss Audrey gave us each a ball. I may have to practice to becoming the next soccer sensation. Instead of Bending it like Beckham, kids will be Smacking it like Smith!

So that you can see some more of my party pics, I have created a collage for you. Here's the information...

Top Row (L-R): Me and my buddy Eli; Laughing with Miss Elizabeth; Paige and her two Mommies. Middle Row: Anna and her Grandpa; the party spread; Eli. Bottom Row: Me and Miss Audrey (with the soccer ball she gave me!); my friend Haley (who may be my first girlfriend) ; and me and Miss Valerie (she's the lead teacher in my room).

Can't you tell that it was a great time had by all?

Emerson
