A Feast Fit for...
...Little Ol' Me! Prior to leaving the hospital after my G-tube surgery, mommy met with the nutritionist. They talked about what I eat, how much of it is fed to me through my tube, how much I take in orally, yadda yadda yadda (of course I know Seinfeld, have you met my mommy???).
Anyway, Jennifer (the nutritionist) took a bunch of notes and came back with a new plan for us to try that would take some of my formula away and replace it with water (so I am not dehydrated) and solid foods. She said we would try this plan for a month and then check my weight and length and go from there. I guess I am on the higher end of the weight range (first class baby fattie, here) and this is actually a good thing because it gives us more room to play with.
So what does all this mean?
Lots of cool things! I am getting to experiment with more table food...AND...on days when school serves lunches that I can tolerate, I get to eat part of my lunch with my friends!!! Like today, for instance. I got to have some macaroni and cheese and then grandma Kathy came and fed me the rest of my lunch. How cool is that? I thought you might like to see my experimentation in action. Check out the pictures below.
I have been eating the pancakes for a few weeks now, so that's not even the biggest news. This past Sunday I tried, for the first time ever - pork tenderloin and zucchini and carrots. Check this out over here to the left. Isn't that lovely? Bright colors and lovely presentation. I wonder if I could get a side gig pitching for the Food Network? The pork tenderloin was awesome - 10 out of 10. I ate it all first. The zucchini - not so hot. I would rate that a 2 out of 10. The carrots were a winner, but I have had those before. Actually, when you take a second look, it seems like I could be on the Zone Diet. Hey, I am not that much of a baby fattie!Well, that's the latest here from Extreme Feedings. Hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Be sure to tune in next time.
